Rockstar has introduced a new Halloween-based treasure hunt this year which will earn you a nice $250k, plus bonuses, if you photograph all of the 10 ghosts.
All the locations, maps and timings are shown in the video above, plus the bonuses.
It starts with an email on your in-game phone from Ghosts Exposed which calls on all ‘Ghost Hunters’ to document evidence of real ghosts across Blaine County.
To complete it you’ll need to be at a specific location at a specific hour between 8pm and 6am to photograph a set of 9 ghosts and send the picture to Ghosts Exposed via the button shown on screen after you’ve successfully photographed one of the ghosts.
Once you’ve photographed all 9, you can then photograph the final ghost, Johnny Klebitz, in the final location at midnight.
You’ll receive $20k for each ghost you photograph, plus a bonus $50k for all 10, giving you the full $250k.
You also unlock a free Ghostbusters-style livery for the new car in the game, the expensive Albany Brigham at $1.49m.
There are a couple of key points to note here. If you get too close to the ghost, it will de-spawn, so make sure you are a reasonable distance from the ghost to ensure it will spawn, e.g. around 10 in-game metres away. Also, once you have photographed the ghost it won’t appear again, so you can can’t redo this mission during the Halloween period.
