As part of this week’s bumper update to the Los Santos Drug Wars DLC, Rockstar has introduced a new Random Event, the Store Robberies.

A key point is that these can be in Discount Stores as well as the Convenience Stores, but how do you know which one to look for?
The bad news is that it’s random and you need to be nearby to trigger it.
This means the most effective way to start it is to use the map to work your way through the stores. You can drive or fly (if low) near them and then you’ll see a little flash on the map and the store icon will now have a red dot in its centre.
The red dot will then start moving away from the store – this is your robber. Take out the robber in any way you like and then walk up to his bag which may be away from his body depending how vigorously you took him out…
Once you’ve collected the bag you then have two minutes to return it to the store.
If you decide to do so, on a normal (non-double bonus) week, you’ll be awarded $20k, plus 2500 RP, as well as the Good Samaritan award the first time you complete it. If it’s a Convenience Store you can always chose to rob the store afterwards to get a a little payback for your good deed, as it is GTA after all!
If you decide to keep it, you will earn more at $25k, but won’t earn any RP.
