How to buy all Police Vehicles in GTA Online

Unlock Police Vehicles GTA Online

While you could always steal the various Police Vehicles, you couldn’t keep them, until now.

As part of the Chop Shop DLC, Rockstar have added the ability to buy three Police Vehicles – the Unmarked Cruiser, the Stanier Le Cruiser and the Police Riot.

Watch how to get these our video above.

These are available to purchase at Warstock Cache & Carry on your in-game browser, but to unlock them you will need to complete certain challenges and to unlock the Trade Prices you’ll need to complete additional challenges.

The Unmarked Cruiser

To unlock the ability to buy the Unmarked Cruiser at Warstock you will need to survive a three or more star Wanted Level for more than 5 minutes.

One of the simplest ways to do this is to get an attack helicopter and fly around the map firing at the police while ensuring that your wanted stars don’t start flashing for too long until your five minutes are up.

To unlock the Buy it Now price you will need to complete the Gangbanger Robbery (most expensive of the three cars to steal) on the Planning Computer at a purchased Salvage Yard. Salvage yards are now available to purchase through Maze Bank Foreclosures.

While the normal customisations are available to you in your Vehicle Workshop you can only add one police-specific upgrade, the Pushbar, given it is supposed to be an ‘unmarked’ vehicle.

As this is a Personal Vehicle you can store it in one of your garages and request it to spawn nearby by calling your Mechanic.

The Police Riot

To unlock the Police Riot you will need to escape four wanted stars while outside – simply calling Lester or walking into a property will not work. As ever, the easiest way to escape wanted stars is to head into a train or tram tunnel and wait it out.

To purchase it at the Buy it Now price you just need to complete the Tactical Gear setup in the Gangbanger Robbery (most expensive of the three cars to steal) accessed via the Planning Computer at your Salvage Yard. If you’ve unlocked the Unmarked Cruiser above then you’ll have already completed this setup.

Unfortunately, the Police Riot is a Pegasus Vehicle and not a Personal Vehicle. This means you can only request it by calling Pegasus and can’t store it in your garage, but you also can’t customise it in a Vehicle Workshop.

One bonus feature of the Police Riot is that you will get free armour the first time you enter that specific spawn as you do by entering any Police Riot that you come across in the normal map. Surprisingly, while it’s a strong vehicle in traffic that can take a lot of bumps, a single RPG will destroy it.

The Stanier Le Cruiser

This is probably the one that you want first and is the best of the three options. To unlock it you will need to do the Scope Out setup mission as part of the Gangbanger Robbery (most expensive of the three cars to steal) accessed via the Planning Computer at your Salvage Yard.

To benefit from the Buy it Now price you will need to collect a piece of evidence from the Crime Scene Random event. If you’ve done this before it doesn’t count as it needs to be after the Chop Shop DLC was released.

The Stanier Le Cruiser is a Personal Vehicle and can be customised in several unique ways at your Vehicle Workshop. You will find a set of Police Equipment customisation in the menu which allow you to add various police aerials, search lights, emergency vehicle lighting and push bars, plus there is the ability to choose from an extensive range of police liveries.

Unfortunately, like the other two police vehicles, the Le Cruiser doesn’t let you evade wanted stars, but it will spook the ‘ladies of the night’ if you approach them in it.
