As part of the new Criminal Enterprises DLC, Rockstar have added the ability to add AirPod-style white earphones to your GTA Online character.
To get them you need to complete any style of Cargo sell, including Gunrunning, MC and Nightclub sells, and then for a limited time only they are free as part of the accessory section in Binco’s clothing store – just look for the clothing icon on the map to find your nearest Binco.
These will appear permanently on your character’s ears and sadly have only aesthetic value. You might hope that these would enable you to listen to music or GTA Radio when outside of a vehicle, but unfortunately not.
The name is of course a typical Rockstar naughty pun on the Apple Beat headphones and they look AirPod-style, albeit the lawyers have no doubt ensured there is a sufficient gap between the two products both in terms of logo and name. These are purely in the interest of satire and player vanity.
Even so they have proved popular among GTA Online players and are a common sight in public lobbies.
There is even a golden set of headphones, but for this you need to be a paid subscriber to GTA+ and if you only get GTA+ for that reason, it’s probably the ultimate statement of pointless vanity!
