Respawn Kosatka sub and Sparrow heli nearby in GTA Online

The Kosatka submarine and the Sparrow helicopter upgrade are extremely useful not only for the Cayo Perico Heist, but for GTA Online in general. They not only have some serious fire power, but are also among the fastest ways to move around the map.

Given the scale of the map and the diverse locations for the prep missions, it’s useful to know how you can use the Kosatka and Sparrow to move around as efficiently as possible, particularly when you find yourself on the wrong side of the map.

Best of all, you can get them to come to your location rather than grinding your way across Los Santos…

Respawning the Kosatka nearby

• If the Kosatka is on the other side of the map, open the Interaction menu > Services > Kosatka > Return Options to return the Kosatka to storage
• Then use the Interaction menu again to resurface the Kosatka
• In seconds it will respawn in the nearest sea location to you
• If a briefer destroys your Kosatka, use the Interaction menu again and it will respawn in seconds

Respawning the Sparrow helicopter nearby

• Again you can use the Interaction menu to request the Sparrow and it will respawn to you as near as possible, usually right next to you if you’re on a road (much more useful than a personal vehicle helicopter which has fixed locations around the map)
• If you’ve left it somewhere mid-mission or if it’s not in your sub when you need it, then you can still summon it.
• Use the Interaction menu > Services > Kosatka > Return options > Return Moon Vehicle to Storage
• If you’re in the sub, it will respawn next to you instantly
• If you’re outside the sub, you will need to wait until the countdown stops and then you can respawn it nearby
