Crime Scene Random Event locations map – GTA Online

The Crime Scenes are a Random Event in GTA Online that have taken on new significance now they can unlock the Trade Price on the new Police Cruiser.

To find a Crime Scene you will need to be in an Invite-only or Public Lobby for at least 20 minutes.

Like other Random Events you will see a blue dot appear on your map when you are near one of 10 potential locations for the event to appear. The location of these 10 can be seen in the video above. Remember that like other Random Events it won’t spawn every single time, so don’t be discouraged if you travel to all 10 locations and it doesn’t spawn first time. As such, it’s often better to wait for one to appear in the course of your other GTA Online activities.

When you approach the blue dot, it will change into a blue circle which you need to search to find the briefcase with the evidence. There will usually be two police officers nearby who will attack as you approach so you will need to take them out.

When you are stood next to the evidence an option will appear for you to steal the evidence. You will then pick up wanted stars and need to escape the scene. It’s best to approach in a helicopter and leave this nearby to facilitate a quick escape.

After you have collected one set of evidence then you will need to wait at least 20 minutes for a new one to spawn, although it may be longer given the random nature of the events. Some users report changing lobby helps with the respawn, although again you’ll still need to wait at least 20 minutes.

Following the Chop Shop DLC, once you have collected the next piece of evidence – past collections don’t count for this – you can unlock the Police Cruiser Trade Price. To unlock the Buy it Now more expensive price you’ll need to have scoped out the Mission Row Police Station as part of the Gangbanger Robbery (most expensive car option) in your Salvage Yard via the Planning Computer.

If you collect five pieces of evidence you will get a Special Carbine rifle, although you can now just buy one from Ammunation instead if you have the money.
