The Cerberus is back for Halloween in GTA Online and this is how you get it to spawn and how you can defeat it.

Requirements for appearing

  • You need to be in Public Lobby for at least 16 minutes with at least 2 people
  • You can’t be in a helicopter or weaponised vehicle and it’s best to avoid being in your Personal Vehicle at all when approaching
  • You need to get into an Exotic Exports vehicle – it will be waiting at one of the spawn points for these. It’s indestructible until you’ve got in the car. It will keep spawning behind you if you manage to get out of range.
  • See the gtaweb.eu map for details of spawn points and drive around those points until an Exotic Exports blue dot appears and bear in mind that the Cerberus won’t always spawn
  • You need to be on foot or in a normal car
  • It’s seasonal content only available during Halloween weeks

How to defeat it

  • It will disappear if you get wasted
  • It will self-destruct after 5 minutes
  • You can blow it up eventually but it is very tough
  • If you spawn in your Phantom Wedge (yes, these are expensive, but one of the most fun vehicles in the game) you can give it a taste of its own medicine! You can also try the Up’N’Atomizer which will fire it across the map
  • You’re supposed to try to outrun it and deliver it to the docks which will de-spawn it

Inspiration for the Cerberus

The Cerberus is inspired by the 1971 TV movie ‘Duel’ directed by Steven Spielberg where a salesman, David Mann, is terrorised by a truck after he overtakes it on a highway.
