Imani Tech was added to GTA Online in The Contract DLC update and it’s a significant change with the ability to either remote control your car or to block missiles from auto-locking onto your car.
To enable it you’ll need to buy from a specific set of cars added as part of the update:
- Enus Diety
- Dewbauchee Champion
- Bravado Buffalo STX
- Enus Jubilee
- Mammoth Patriot Mil-Spec
- Declasse Granger 3600LX – a new addition which can carry a full 8 players in the lobby
To add it you need to enter your vehicle inside your garage and to have bought the Vehicle Workshop option. You’ll then have two choices when you select the Imani Tech option – you can’t have both at once:
- Remote Control Unit: this lets you drive your car by remote control and is available for $235k
- Missile Lock-on Jammer: for $400k this jammer disables auto-lock missiles meaning the other player will have to aim manually. This is particularly useful against the infamous Oppressor MK2 with its aggressive auto-aim missiles
The latter option is the most useful, particularly when combined with full armour as the player will require several direct hits to destroy your vehicle giving you time to escape to a safe property or underground.
You can also use this in combination with Out of Sight which will remove you from the radar as long as you remain within the grey circle or until you waste another player. To enable this you need to call Imani from your phone and select the $12k option.
