In Dildo Dodo you take to the skies in a tricky mission piloting a sea plane distributing flyers across the city. The plane is reached through a small door through the movie studios walls.
Unfortunately, there are no real cheats here, so it’s down to learning how to master the plane’s controls. To make things even more difficult your fuel is limited, so it pays not to miss too many checkpoints.
First the planes controls. To take off you’ll need to pick up sufficient speed using the accelerator and then pull down rather than up to tilt the plane upwards.
Then you’ll need to master the steering. If you do sharp movements the plane will end up plummeting down, so it’s all about a series of gentle swipes left and right to coax the plane into the direction you want it to go. Generally if you are higher up, then you can be more forceful on the turns, lower down less so.
You’ll also need to get the height correct. Use the indicators on the map to show you whether you are at the right height – square icon is correct, triangle is too high or low.
What’s more you’ll need to be equally careful about how you approach the checkpoints as if you approach from the wrong angle you’ll plough into a building, particularly as the plane is slow to climb upwards.
Far better to have another sweep than try and manoeuvre in a space that’s too tight for the plane and crash. With the fuel available you can afford a couple of misses without running out of fuel.
It’s best to start with a nice open checkpoint like the one at the tip of the western island where you can make minor mistakes with the height and have a good distance out to sea to practise making a proper turn, but don’t overdo the time it takes you to turn as you have limited fuel.
When working through the checkpoints bear in mind there is an alleyway of sorts going north to south on the western island whereby if you line it up correctly you can wind your way through the buildings, but bear in mind there’s not much room for manoeuvre, particularly if you get the height wrong.
