The Yeti is back for 2025 Christmas in GTA Online! Here is an explanation of how to spawn it and what happens when you do.

While the clues will still appear on the map, if you killed the Yeti last year it won’t spawn again which seems unfair. As you approach the north west of the map just north of Fort Zancudo, a grey circle will appear.

Within it are five clues which you can see in the video above along with their specific locations. You can collect clues at any time of the day, but when you’ve collected them the Yeti itself will only spawn between 9pm and 6am.

For each clue you collect you will get $10k, plus $50k when you kill the Yeti, but bear in mind once it is killed you can’t replay it, so if you want to have some fun trolling it, then take your time…

During the spawn hours the Yeti will appear when you are within the grey circle. It will start as a red icon on the map and it will be static. If you interact with it or shoot at it or if you’re inactive for a minute or two, then it will charge you and beware, this thing is very quick and very strong and it will launch you across the map.

However, like the Daleks in Doctor Who, the Yeti great weakness is that it cannot do stairs, or at least if you climb onto a vehicle it won’t jump up which seems odd but is a characteristic it shares with the Slashers that spawn in Halloween.

So, the best way to handle it is to stand on a vehicle and then you can shoot at it with no comeback. If the cops are nearby then unfortunately they just ignore it and indeed if you shoot at the Yeti you can still pick up a wanted star and the cops will come after your character instead.
