If you’ve unlocked the weapon upgrades, then you may be surprised that you can’t top up your ammunition in Ammunation or via the Interaction Menu’s ‘Ammo’ option.
Instead you’ll need to visit a Weapons Workshop and this is what you need to do:
- To get the weapon upgrades in the first place, you’ll need to have bought a Bunker from Maze Bank Foreclosures, started the Gunrunning missions and then wait for the upgrade you want to be unlocked. The full description of how to do this is in our article here.
- If your Research team haven’t yet unlocked that weapon upgrade then it will show as locked until they do
- Then you’ll need to visit one of your Weapons Workshops and click on the button indicated when you stand next to the Workshop and then find your weapon in the menu
- Bear in mind that for some of the weapons, particularly the Heavy Sniper MK 2, that the amount of ammo you can carry is limited, so you’ll need to be prepared if you think you’ll be using it in a mission or a particularly aggressive lobby
- You can purchase Weapon Workshops both through your properties, such as the Arcade, Agency and Arena and also through the option in certain specialised vehicles, such as the Kosatka, Terrobyte, Mobile Operations Centre and the Avenger.
- If you didn’t buy the Weapons Workshop on the above options, don’t worry as you can go back into the Maze Bank or Warstock websites and then upgrade them even if you’ve already bought the property or vehicle
