GTA Online is still a great game after all these years, but on PC in particular it’s often ruined by modders and griefers.
Depending on your lobby it prevents you delivering your cargo which needs to be done in a public lobby – having an invite-only lobby won’t let you access your cargo. In an ideal world Rockstar would block modders and provide less incentive for people to try to ruin your game.
However, for now at least, there’s an easy way to have a lobby all to yourself and only worry about the AI causing you problems.
Simply follow the steps below as shown in the video above:
– Start in a Public Lobby as normal
– Switch to open up ‘Task Manager’ on PC
– Click on the ‘Performance’ tab
– Scroll down and click on ‘Open Resource Monitor’ at the bottom
– In the CPU section, right mouse on the GTA5.exe file
– On the menu that pops up click on ‘Suspend Process’
– Wait around 10 seconds
– Then right mouse on GTA.exe again and this time click on ‘Resume Process’ in the menu
– Open GTA Online back up
– After a few seconds you’ll see that all other players leave your lobby, but you remain in what is effectively a Public Lobby but with no other players
One thing to note is that after around 10 minutes new players will slowly drop into your lobby and fill it up over time. Hopefully by then you’ve finished what you needed to do or can simply repeat the trick.
