The new Chop Shop DLC has introduced a set of three vehicle robberies which you can complete once each week.
The first step of the robbery is to scope out a location by taking three photographs and sending them to Jamal.
The scoping location varies, but the way to do it is the same. You’ll need to approach the photo icons shown on the map while keeping out of the view arcs of the white dots shown on the map so you can avoid detection.
Once you have seen the blue downward arrow over the photo icon location on your map, get out your camera and photograph it. If you are too far away the game should notify you to get closer.
Take the picture from the camera on your in-game phone and then click the button to send them to Jamal. Photograph all 3 locations and return back to the Salvage Yard to complete the setup mission and unlock the rest of the tasks and setups for the car robbery.
Maze Bank Arena scoping
You will find the exact locations for the Maze Bank Arena our the video above.
Two of the locations are outside, one at stadium entrance level, one below the station, but for the third you’ll need to walk through the doors, while avoiding the view arcs shown on the mini map, and take a photo of the door which you’ll walk through later in the mission.
Mission Row Police Station scoping
The three photograph locations for the Mission Row Police Station are shown in our video above.
Two of them can be photographed from the car park rooftop vantage point indicated by the yellow marker on the map.
The third location can be photographed from the bridge just above – you don’t need to get to ground level and risk detection by the police officer. If you are detected you’ll pick up two wanted stars and will need to be quick.
If you get wasted during the scoping, it’s not an issue as there are no set number of lives – you simply get to start again from a spawn point nearby.
Docks scoping
Again, the three locations you need to photograph are shown in our video above.
The locations vary in that one is inside a building which you may remember from one of the Auto Shop Contracts. You will need to enter the building while trying to avoid the view arcs of the workmen and photograph the clipboard on the table, making sure you are close enough to get its text in shot.
You may get attacked by one of the workmen, but he is only armed with a melee weapon and taking him out won’t alert the other workers.
The second location is simply a cargo container at ground level, but the third requires a little more effort.
Keep an eye on the icon as you step onto the cargo ship as the icon will contain an arrow pointing up to indicate that you need to climb up the ladder to photograph a specific container. When you reach the correct height, the icon will change back to a camera icon.
