Rockstar added two new types of Nightclub Popularity missions in the Criminal Enterprises DLC update.
See how they work in our video above.
These are in addition to the existing Popularity missions which are triggered from the laptop in the Nightclub office and involve a variety of relatively easy missions to promote the Nightclub, such as flying a blimp across the city, distributing flyers via helicopter and taking our rivals.
The two new types of missions work as follows.
You will receive a text from Marcel, the ineffective Nightclub bouncer who appears unable to do anything without your help. These will either be regarding a Troublemaker or a VIP.
The Troublemaker missions are incredibly easy and are identified by a blue dot on the map. The Troublemakers are either located on the ground floor or in the loading bay. All you need to do is walk up to them and then click to trigger the cut scene with you and Marcel ejecting them from the club and your Nightclub popularity meter goes up by a couple of bars.
The VIP missions are slightly more involved and all involve driving your unwell VIP either back to their home or to one of Los Santos’ medical facilities, some of which are further away than others depending on your luck. Again completing them adds a couple of bars to your popularity meter.
There is a ‘spook’-meter which goes up if you crash the car or drive too fast. Unlike other ‘spook’ missions, the meter doesn’t go down and is cumulative, so you need to be careful when it gets near full.
If it gets full it will turn red, you’ll fail the mission and the VIP will exit the now burning vehicle and run away at a rapid pace having made a seemingly miraculous recovery.
See what happens when you fail in the video below!
Why you want to do the Nightclub Popularity missions
The reason for doing the Nightclub popularity missions is to increase your daily takings with a full Popularity bar earning you up to $50k per GTA day (c.48 minutes in the real world). This will fill up the safe up to a maximum of $250k after which you’ll need to empty it to keep earning that passive income.
They don’t affect the speed at which your Warehouses fill up but are some of the easiest passive income you can get in the game.
If you ignore your Nightclub Popularity completely your passive income drops accordingly and you’ll get a series of texts chasing you up.
