Where to find Stone Hatchet in GTA Online

No GTA Online weapon collection is complete without the Stone Hatchet.

It’s unique among GTA Online weapons in that you can enter a Trevor-style Special Ability Rampage mode where you have almost unlimited health until the 12 second yellow timer times out. The timer is replenished with each kill within the timer period, but if you run out of yellow timer then you have to wait 30 seconds until you can trigger rampage mode again.

So, how do you unlock the Stone Hatchet?

• Firstly, you need to go to the Maude Eccles icon near Sandy Shores (see video). In our experience you need to be in a Public Lobby.
• You’ll then receive a text from Maude, but you can’t start straight away. You have to wait 10 minutes or so for an email from here. Again, we’ve found they only trigger in a Public Lobby.
• The email will show you a mugshot of your Bounty Target and then on the map a yellow circle will appear showing their rough location.
• It usually takes quite a bit of searching within the area to find them so don’t ignore any stairs or inside areas you can reach.
• When you get close to them a red icon appears on the map showing their exact location.
• They may decide to run or fight when you get close, but they are easy to catch.
• You can subdue them for capture with a few punches or a strike with a Melee Weapon. They will then follow you into any vehicle with more than one seat and you simply drive back to Maude’s icon on the map to get your $10k reward. Alternatively, you can kill them for a less $5k reward.
• Wait for 10 minutes or so and you’ll receive another email from Maude with the next target.
• You have to complete five Bounty kills, but don’t worry if you fail one as a new one will trigger until you’ve completed your five.
• When you’ve completed the fifth, a yellow hidden treasure icon will appear on the map which contains your treasured Stone Hatchet
• To trigger the Stone Hatchet Rampage, just take out any character or player within the game
• When you have completed 25 kills with the Stone Hatchet you earn a nice $250k bonus and an associated Stone Hatchet weapon unlock in Red Dead Redemption 2.
